What is parcel tracking?

Parcel tracking is a system that allows you to monitor the progress of your shipments in real-time. It provides detailed information about the location and status of a parcel from the moment it is dispatched until it is delivered.

How can I track a parcel?

Generally, businesses can track parcels by using the tracking number provided by the carrier. With Sendcloud, you can simplify this process by accessing our unified tracking dashboard. Log in to your Sendcloud account to get real-time updates on all your shipments. Additionally, you can integrate our tracking data directly into systems like Shopify, Zendesk, WooCommerce, and more, ensuring seamless monitoring of all your parcels.

How does parcel tracking work?

Parcel tracking works by assigning a unique tracking number to each shipment. This number is scanned at various checkpoints along the delivery route, providing real-time updates on the parcel’s status. These updates are then available through our tracking system, which you can access at any time.

How do delivery companies track packages?

Delivery companies track packages using a combination of barcode scanning, GPS technology, and real-time data integration. Each parcel is scanned at different stages of the delivery process, allowing for precise tracking and status updates that are accessible to both the sender and recipient.

What are the benefits of tracking?

  • Enhanced customer satisfaction: Keep customers informed about their delivery status, reducing anxiety and increasing trust.
  • Operational efficiency: Streamline your logistics by monitoring all shipments in one overview and anticipating any issues.
  • Reduced WISMO inquiries: Proactively inform customers about their parcels, significantly decreasing the number of “Where Is My Order?” calls.
  • Improved delivery performance: Use tracking data to evaluate and choose the best carriers, ensuring timely and reliable deliveries.
Increased transparency: Provide clear and accurate delivery information, fostering better communication with your customers.

“I like what I see but it’s yet another tool for my team to work with.”

Actually, it doesn’t have to be.

We know that you already have systems in place, especially for customer communication. What you need is the right data in the right place – something we call Shipping Intelligence.

While you can still access the data in our user-friendly dashboards in the Sendcloud and/or Tracey platforms, Shipping Intelligence is an API-first data solution.

This means you can push any data point to your system of choice.

E.g. You can integrate Shipping Intelligence with Zendesk so your CS team
gets enriched data to handle tickets directly from one centralized system.

We have standardized integrations with CS and CRM systems like:

  • Zendesk
  • Trengo
  • Gorgias
  • Freshdesk
  • Kustomer
  • Hubspot
  • Front
  • Salesforce (coming soon)

As well as e-mail tools, middleware, and data warehouses:

  • SendGrid
  • Make
  • Alumio
  • Zapier
  • Google Cloud BigQuery
  • Snowflake

And we can connect to many more at customer’s request. So if you are using tools like Intercom, Klaviyo, or Zoho, we can have you covered!
