Sendcloud Strengthens Leadership Team with Appointment of Christopher Dughieri as Chief Product and Technology Officer
Last updated:

Eindhoven, 22 July 2024 - Sendcloud, the complete shipping platform for e-commerce, reinforces its executive team with the appointment of Christopher Dughieri as its new Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO). In line with Sendcloud’s commitment to continuous investment in technology and talent, Christopher will lead the product and engineering team, focusing on enhancing the platform's capabilities to optimise the shipping experience for merchants and improve delivery options for consumers across Europe.
Recent research by Sendcloud reveals that 44% of consumers abandon shopping baskets if delivery expectations are not met, and 53% want the flexibility to modify their delivery preferences post-shipment. This underscores the importance of a seamless shipping experience in fostering customer loyalty and satisfaction.
“While online stores lack the capabilities of e-commerce giants, customers increasingly demand control over their delivery preferences. Sendcloud narrows this divide by providing businesses access to shipping experiences traditionally available only to major retailers,” said Rob van den Heuvel, CEO and Co-founder of Sendcloud. “As we continue to shape the future of e-commerce delivery, we’re expanding our leadership team with seasoned executives bringing diverse expertise. Christopher’s vision and leadership will play a pivotal role in advancing our shipping platform.”
With three decades of experience, including 25 years in logistics-focused roles, Christopher has held senior management positions and played a pivotal role in driving the growth of companies such as DSV and Unifaun (now nShift). At Unifaun (nShift), he served as Deputy CEO, instrumental in expanding the company's revenue and market presence through strategic mergers and acquisitions, alongside pioneering a diverse product portfolio across B2B, B2C, and Courier segments.

"The appointment of a CPTO underscores the founders' strategic vision for growth and leadership in the European market,” said Dughieri. "I’m excited to join Sendcloud, a company renowned for its collaborative and inquisitive culture, alongside its all-in-one solution platform. I’m eager to contribute to their mission of solving shipping globally."
In recent years, Christopher has been creating modern, scalable solutions and services in the financial services sector for both consumer and business markets. He has also provided consultancy and advisory services for tech-enabled companies and investors.
