Why integrate the SEUR API through Sendcloud instead of directly?
Direct SEUR integration means coordinating with staci@seur.net to obtain ATLAS credentials (Client ID, Secret, Business Unit, Username, Password, Account Number, Spanish NIF), and separately requesting SFTP tracking credentials. The sender address on labels is also locked to whatever's on your SEUR contract, not your Sendcloud default.
Through Sendcloud, you authenticate once with your Sendcloud API key and use a single REST schema for SEUR alongside every other carrier. A direct SEUR contract is required either way; Sendcloud rates aren't offered for SEUR.
What happens when SEUR updates or breaks their API?
SEUR periodically updates ATLAS authentication, SFTP tracking endpoints, and rate-card structures. Direct integrators have to coordinate with their SEUR account manager when credentials need rotation, re-test payloads, and adjust to tracking-feed changes.
When you ship SEUR through the Sendcloud REST API, the abstraction layer absorbs those changes. Sendcloud's engineering monitors SEUR's documentation and adjusts the carrier connector internally. Your Sendcloud request schema stays the same regardless of upstream SEUR changes.
Can I use my own SEUR contract?
Yes, and you have to. Sendcloud rates aren't offered for SEUR; a direct contract is required.
Email staci@seur.net (with your SEUR account manager in copy) or call +34 91 322 83 80 to request your ATLAS credentials for the Sendcloud integration. Then in Sendcloud, go to Shipping > Carriers > My Contracts, click Add your own contract, find SEUR, and click Add Contract. Enter your Client ID, Secret, Business Unit, Username, Password, Account Number, and Spanish NIF.
For tracking, contact SEUR separately to enable SFTP tracking with Sendcloud and request your tracking credentials. A Lite, Growth, or Premium plan is required.
Which SEUR products are supported through the API?
Through Sendcloud, you can ship SEUR's domestic and international methods through the GeoPost/DPD Group network. The Sendcloud shipping-methods endpoint returns the up-to-date list enabled on your account.
SEUR is one of Spain's largest parcel carriers, with strong domestic coverage across mainland Spain, the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, and cross-border to Portugal. International shipping options are available through GeoPost partner networks.
Which SEUR-specific features does the API expose?
SEUR-specific features exposed through the integration:
ATLAS-credential authentication for label creation
Separate SFTP-based tracking credentials, requested directly from SEUR
GeoPost/DPD Group international network access through your contract
Cash-on-delivery and other add-on services per contract setup
Note: the sender address on shipping labels is the address listed on your SEUR contract, not your Sendcloud default sender address. To change it, contact your SEUR account manager directly.
How do I track SEUR parcels?
SEUR tracking requires SFTP tracking credentials enabled separately by SEUR on your account. Without it, statuses won't update in Sendcloud. If tracking events stop flowing, contact SEUR for IT-side troubleshooting.
All events normalise to Sendcloud's status taxonomy through GET https://panel.sendcloud.sc/api/v2/tracking/{tracking_number}, with the chronological history under statuses and each event mapped to parent_status. Subscribe to the parcel-status-changed webhook for push updates. Reference: Tracking parcels.
How do I create SEUR return labels?
SEUR return method availability depends on your contract setup. ATLAS-credential authentication carries through to return shipments alongside outbound. Note: the sender address on return labels comes from your SEUR contract, not your Sendcloud default sender.
All return labels are created through Sendcloud's standalone v3 Returns API (synchronous or asynchronous; async is recommended for higher throughput). No outgoing parcel lookup or JWT tokens are required. Reference: Returns API overview.
How does Sendcloud's multi-carrier API compare to connecting carriers individually?
The Sendcloud REST API gives you access to 170+ carriers, including SEUR, through one credential set, one schema, one webhook stream, and one error model. Connecting carriers individually means handling separate authentication, payload formats, and tracking systems for each, and redoing the work every time a carrier ships breaking changes upstream.
With Sendcloud, you ship SEUR alongside Correos, MRW, DHL, and DPD, or any other carrier in your account using the same code. Route shipments between carriers based on rules (weight, destination, service level, cost) without writing carrier-specific routing logic. Fall back to alternative carriers automatically if SEUR's upstream system has issues.
Adding a new carrier later means adding it to your Sendcloud account, not building a new integration.
