How it all began
In 2012, three friends, Bas, Rob, and Sabi, ran their own online store. They quickly discovered how complex and costly shipping could be. Competing with retail giants felt nearly impossible. So, they built something better, and they’ve been on a mission to level the playing field ever since.

2012
Built the first version of Sendcloud: a basic label-printing tool for PostNL parcels.
2013
Negotiated better PostNL rates, landed our first real win, and hired the first employees.
2014–2015
Joined Startupbootcamp, closed our first funding round, and launched in Belgium while exploring Germany.
2016–2017
Expanded into France and learned the challenges of cross-border logistics. Winner of Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 (5463% growth).
2018–2019
Ranked #3 in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 (1928% growth), reached 10K customers, and expanded into Spain.
2020–2022
E-commerce boom: 120% revenue growth, team scaled from 125 to 350, launched in Italy and the UK, raised €150M.
2023–2025
Acquired Tracey, Lox, and Isendu. Laying the foundation for AI-driven features like Shipping Intelligence and Support Automation.
