As winter is fast approaching, it’s time once again to look back on all the developments that the third quarter of the year brought with it. This year, Q3 has been particularly eventful at Sendcloud.

You’ve probably noticed quite a few changes lately. To make sure you haven’t missed any of the latest news, we’ve put together this recap of Q3 2019. This way, you’ll be completely up to date on all the new features we have to offer.

And since the end of the year is fast approaching, we’ll also give you a sneak preview of all the developments you can look forward to in Q4.

A look back on Q3 2019: Rebranding at Sendcloud

Let’s start off with the biggest change that occurred in the last quarter: the complete rebranding at Sendcloud.

With all the developments that our product had been through recently, we thought it was high time for an updated logo and an all-new style. To keep things nice and simple, we’re also officially changing the spelling of our company name from ‘SendCloud’ to ‘Sendcloud’.

After all, simplicity and user-friendliness are our top priorities.

The latest product developments from Q3

Alongside our rebranding, we’ve also been working hard to make all kinds of improvements to our product over the past three months. Here’s a look at all of the latest developments!

Shipping environment even easier to use

We gave the Sendcloud panel a major overhaul to make it even more user-friendly. This never would have been possible without the help of our Sendcloud beta community.

Now, things are easier to read, the on-screen elements are more consistent and the structure has been improved. We’ve also added a wide range of new filters and changed the layout.

Sendcloud’s returns portal: Don’t miss the updates

Besides updating our shipping environment, we’ve also been working hard to improve the returns portal.

sendcloud return portal Q3We know how important it is for you to have a wide range of return options. That’s why we’ve come up with a returns process that gives you the freedom you need. If you operate under multiple brands, you can even set up a separate returns portal for each of them.

The new layout and data we provide makes it easier than ever to keep track of your returns. It’s the perfect way for you to offer a flexible, customer-friendly returns policy, which saves you time and keeps your loyal customers coming back for more.

You can even cut down on the number of returns with new options such as offering a product exchange.

Your customers will love the new feature that lets them easily choose between a refund, credit or exchange. They can also choose to drop off a package for return shipping, or return directly to one of your store locations.

We’ve also expanded return shipping options to include even more countries and to let your customers start the returns process with their order number instead of the tracking number.

DHL Express paperless trade

More and more European online retailers are shipping their products to locations outside of Europe. If you’re ready to go intercontinental with your business, we’ve got you covered with the paperless trade option from DHL Express.

Whenever you choose this option, we’ll automatically send the necessary digital documents to DHL. That means less paper(work) for you to deal with!

Multicollo for DHL and UPS

Another improvement that our developers are particularly proud of is Multicollo, now available for DHL and UPS. Multicollo shipments consist of multiple packages that are created at the same time and bound for the same address.

In addition to our rebranding and new product updates, we want to let you know about two other developments that took place at Sendcloud over the past quarter.

Nominated once again for the Deloitte Fast 50

We recently received the news that we’ve been nominated once again for a spot on the Deloitte Fast 50 list. We were voted number-one in 2017 and took the number-three spot last year.

On 10 October, the winners for 2019 will be announced and we cannot wait to hear how we ranked.

New additions to our team

Sendcloud is continuing to grow in terms of our product development, but also in terms of our team. Over the last quarter, we had the pleasure of welcoming 24 talented new employees to our company.

What you can expect from Sendcloud in Q4

The end of the year is just around the corner, but we’ve still got plenty of new developments in store for the final three months of 2019. Here’s a preview of what you can expect:

  • We’ll be improving the process for handling international shipments with Sendcloud.
  • We’ll expand the Multicollo shipping option to include even more carriers.
  • We’ll be improving the returns API, including giving you the option to check the status of returns shipments.
  • The improvements that we made to the incoming order overview will be applied to all the other shipping sections in the panel.
  • Expect lots of new videos on our YouTube channel, which we launched in Q3 and plan to expand in Q4 with plenty of helpful and inspiring new clips. If you have any suggestions for video topics, please add a comment below.

  • We sturen ook veel ‘pakketjes’ gewoon met de brievenpost die we frankeren via de frankeermachine. Ik kan deze optie niet terugvinden bij jullie.
    Kan dat wel? Anders wordt het versturen van goedkope items als pakketpost altijd nog duur.

    Verder zijn we een nieuwe webshop aan het opzetten via Umbraco en Ucommerce. Zijn daar verbindingen voor beschikbaar of moeten we die zelf via een API programmeren?

      Dankjewel voor je reactie! Wat betreft je eerste vraag: voor bestellingen die door de brievenbus passen, kun je een brievenbuspakket (met Track & Trace) selecteren. In onze nieuwste blog lees je daar alles over! Je kunt ook kiezen voor de optie ‘unstamped letter’ en de zending dan zelf (laten) frankeren.

      Wat betreft je tweede vraag: op dit moment is er geen integratie voor Umbraco/Ucommerce. Voor custom build integraties kun je inderdaad gebruikmaken van onze API!
